2. Data we may process

Depending on how the service is used, FairUpGG may process account and authentication data, profile data such as name, surname, nickname, preferred playing role and town, match data, results, team composition, ratings, MVP votes, tournament data, friendship and invitation data, and technical data necessary for security and service operation.

3. Purposes of processing

Data are processed to create and manage accounts, organize matches and tournaments, manage players and guests, record results, calculate ratings and statistics, show match history, enable open matches by town and distance, send service notifications, prevent abuse, improve stability and provide support.

4. Legal basis

• performance of the service requested by the user;
• user consent, where required for specific features;
• legitimate interest for security, abuse prevention, technical maintenance and service improvement;
• compliance with legal obligations, where applicable.

5. Visibility to other users

FairUpGG includes social and collaborative features. Some data may be visible to friends, match organizers, participants in the same match, users involved in friend requests or historical-player links, and other users according to the service rules.

Visible data may include, within the necessary limits: name, surname or nickname, rating, playing role, match participation, results, statistics, shared history and request or link status.

6. Data retention

Account and profile data are retained while the account remains active. Match, result, ELO rating, statistics and history data may be retained to preserve statistical continuity, rating consistency and the integrity of shared matches involving multiple users.

When deletion is requested, personal data associated with the user will be deleted or anonymized, except where legal obligations or technical needs require preserving the integrity of shared match history.

7. Technical providers

Data may be processed through technical providers necessary for the operation of the app, web app and related services, including Supabase for authentication, database and backend, Vercel for hosting, Google/Firebase for Android and push notifications, Google Play for app distribution, email providers for technical communications and Cloudflare Turnstile if anti-bot protection is enabled.

FairUpGG does not sell personal data to third parties and does not use the data for behavioural advertising.

8. Cookies, localStorage and technical tools

The web app may use technical cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage or similar tools necessary for authentication, session management, security, abuse prevention, service operation and technical preferences.

FairUpGG does not use these tools for advertising profiling or behavioural marketing. More details are available in the Cookie Policy.

9. Security

FairUpGG adopts reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including authentication, email confirmation where applicable, secure connections, database access rules, access limitation, session management and anti-abuse controls.

10. User rights

Users may request access, rectification, deletion, limitation, portability or objection regarding their personal data, within the limits provided by applicable law and by the technical nature of shared match history.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated over time to reflect changes to the app, web app, services, providers, features or applicable law.
